The Professional Development Committee was established by the General Assembly of the Graduate Institute Student Association (GISA) with a clear mandate. Its primary goal is to promote the career development of the student community. This involves organizing events, workshops, and seminars that equip students with essential skills and knowledge to succeed in their chosen fields. The committee is dedicated to fostering robust relationships between the student community, the Graduate Institute Alumni Association, and the Career Services office. By facilitating linkages with alumni and career services, the committee bridges the divide between academic accomplishments and professional opportunities, offering students the support and networks necessary to flourish in their careers.

Mission of PDC
Advocating for the student community on matters of career services, professional development, and alumni engagement, while also championing adequate funding, staffing, and resources to fulfill these professional needs.
The committee is committed to strategizing and implementing innovative and impactful programs. By collaborating with the Institute, the Career Services office, the Graduate Institute Alumni Association, and international organizations or operating autonomously the committee aims to bolster the professional development of the Institute's student community through innovative initiatives.
