An informal panel discussion between esteemed professionals and academics from diverse backgrounds on strategies for engaging youth in carbon credit systems.
This event will be led by Miklós Veszprémi, currently working at the BCG and is a World Economic Forum Fellow in the Center for Nature and Climate. He will guide our two panelists: Jean-Pierre Reymond, a Swiss career diplomat who is focusing on innovative forms of fostering climate action, and Nathan Sussman, professor of IHEID, director of Centre for Finance and Development, and Co-director of the MA In Sustainable Finance and Development.

Investing 101: An Accessible Introduction to Investing

This event is a workshop to introduce students to investing, and directly show how they can get started themselves. We also wish to provide the right tools to keep track of passive investments or to conduct basic technical analysis.
This interactive workshop will be run by Hugo de Mello, an economist currently pursuing a master's degree in International Economics at IHEID, who has previously worked at the Brazilian Development Bank, in private banking, and fintech.

Our speakers for this event are Emon Nandi, Assistant Professor at the Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education (CETE) in Mumbai, and Hinah Mian, GIIA alumni and current Trainee in Advancing Research & Systems Change in Education at the Jacobs Foundation.
Impact Investing Debate: Impact investing is the most effective tool to maximize social impact

Students are involved in debating the nature and the intention of impact investing, in the hope of critically viewing how impact investing works in real practice compared to that in the theory.
Our debate teams are composed of IHEID students. The debate will be judged by a panel of 3 guests: Kali Taylor, Managing Director of Sustainable Finance Geneva, Nathan Sussman, professor of IHEID, director of Centre for Finance and Development, and Co-director of the MA In Sustainable Finance and Development, and Theirry Buchs, IHEID visiting professor in International Economics.
