GISA 2024 Master's Forum
What is the Master's Forum and why does it matter?
The Forum is a yearly event where all the Master's Level students are invited to discuss points and raise concerns on academic life and related activities that are not program-specific (scholarships, course evaluations, status of French at the institute, diversity in the hiring of professors, cafeteria menus, racism in academic settings, decolonizing the curriculum, etc.).
The VP of Master's is in charge of Agenda-Setting after screening the issues. All agenda items will be discussed during the Forum and action points can be taken. The Master's Forum is the basis of the VP of Master's Advocacy.
How do I get my voice heard and get an Item on the Agenda?
Multiple ways!
1. We set up a form gathering all concerns, issues, and complaints by students that you can find and fill out HERE. All information provided is anonymous. Please do so before 14 April 2024.
2. If you feel this form is too restrictive you can also contact your Class Representative or the VP of Master's Degree for a meeting to discuss it. Please do so early on.
3. If you did not find the time to do any of these, you can raise issues at the open forum section of the master's forum. It will occur after the whole agenda items have been exhausted.
4. Please come! Even if you have no issues, your voices matter and give legitimacy to GISA Advocacy!
