Shimona Mohan is recognized as one of the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics for 2024 and is actively involved in the #Leaders2Future programme by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA). She is currently working at UNIDIR (UN Institute for Disarmament Research) as an Associate Researcher, focusing on the intersection of Gender, Security, Technology, and Disarmament. With a Master’s degree in International Affairs, specializing in Global Security & Trade and International Finance from IHEID, her career has spanned roles at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Observer Research Foundation in India, among others.

The purpose of the TechSec coffee chat series is to bring in experts, practitioners, researchers and other great thinkers to offer IHEID students networking opportunities and insights about the forefront of digital technologies and policymaking.
